Château Lascombes can be traced back to the 17th century. The name of Château Lascombes originated from the Lascombes family, which has been in charge of this winery for a century. After experiencing the ravages of the French Revolution and changing hands several times, in 1952 Alexis Lichine bought Château Lascombes. Alexis completely rebuilt the manor, innovated the vineyard and wine cellar, not only reversed the disadvantages, but also expanded the area of the vineyard. When the Bordeaux Grand Cru was listed in 1855, Chateau Luxkin was rated as a second-class winery.

Château Lascombes quality wines were very popular in the United States in the 1950s and 1960s. In 2001, Château Lascombes entered a critical period of rapid development, because they strongly invited Dominique Befve, the former chief winemaker of Château Lafite Rothschild, as the chief winemaker and general manager.

After Dominique Befve took office, Château Lascombes launched a new brewing method, which not only accelerated the improvement of wine quality, but also continuously received more than 90 points of high evaluation from international critic Robert Parker, making Château Lascombes the fastest growing Bordeaux since the 21st century. One of the listed wineries.

===============

Château Lascombes 2016 performs fine with nose, elegant and seductive and offers a fine concentration of aromas, with everything in balance. Blackberry, coffee and fine notes of red berry fruit come through together with touches of liquorice stick, mocha, spices, as well as discreet hints of cardamom. The palate is elegant, suave and round and offers flesh, nice definition, precision, minerality, tension, lovely harmony, depth of flavour as well as fine acidity. Notes of fresh blackberry, juicy blackcurrant and subtle raspberry hints, together with notes of red berries/fresh redcurrants as well as a touch of toasted bread and mocha/chocolate.
