Chateau Branaire-Ducru is located in the Saint-Julien production area in the Médoc region of Bordeaux, France, surrounded by well-known estates. The long and brilliant history of the winery can be traced back to 1680.

This was confirmed by the Bordeaux-class winery rating in 1855, and Chateau Branaire-Ducru was rated as a fourth-growth winery. Since 1919, the winery has been under the control of the Tapie family, but due to poor management, the quality of the wine has plummeted. It wasn't until 1988 that the current owner Patrick Maroteaux took over. After his careful care and careful management, the winery's wine finally reached the recognized quality level again, and under Patrick's hand, the sales were also very impressive. Since 2000, the wines produced by Chateau Branaire-Ducru have always been representatives of the top wines in the Saint-Julien region. Today, in the market, the wine produced by this winery is still considered to be the more cost-effective Bordeaux wine.

==================

A blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc makes up the 2018 vintage of Château Branaire-Ducru. In the glass, this red wine from Saint-Julien stands out with its intense colour. Its aromatic bouquet reveals ripe fruit, with a certain freshness preventing it from becoming too heavy. This is also one of the peculiarities of this vintage: the perfectly achieved balance between ripeness and freshness. And the precision of Château Branaire-Ducru is quite exemplary. This powerful and fleshy wine develops through the palate, with a refined density and fresh acidity, crucial to achieving a complex aromatic profile that persists for a long time. A very successful vintage.
