Chateau Clerc Milon, the fifth-growth chateau of Pauillac on the left bank of Bordeaux, is well-known for its wine label pattern "2 danicing king"; it is a sister village with another fifth-growth chateau "1 danicing king" Chateau d'Armailhac, both of which are owned by the first-growth Mouton-Rothschild The winery is adjacent to Ch. Mouton Rothschild and Ch. Lafite Rothschild, the first growths of Pauillac.

The most unique thing about Clerc Milon is that she is adjacent to two first growth wineries in Pauillac district, Ch. Mouton Rothschild and Ch. Lafite Rothschild. Although about 30-40% Merlot is used, it can still make people feel the terroir and personality of Pauillac. Generally speaking, Clerc Milon is slightly better than d'Armailhac in wine quality; in excellent years, Clerc-Milon is quite Mouton-Rothschild style, often with gorgeous oak barrel aroma and sweet and round fruit aroma , and the price is relatively affordable, so it is quite popular all over the world.

Although the average age of the vines planted in Clerc Milon is 51 years old, the wine produced can be enjoyed when young, matured in about 3-5 years, but can be stored for ten to twenty years. The recent vintage shows more depth and complexity than the early ones, with multi-layered aromas, including charcoal roasted espresso, oak, licorice and raspberry fruit. It is a series wine that can be drunk early. The winery should be promoted to a fourth growth.

Wine Advocate-Parker :

The 2018 Clerc Milon is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot and 1% Carménère. Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, it has a very pure, beautifully delineated nose of crushed blackcurrants, fresh black plums and boysenberries with hints of wild thyme, damp soil, tar and black olives. The medium to full-bodied palate offers taut, muscular black fruit with loads of savory layers and a firm, grainy texture, finishing long and mineral tinged.
