Louis Jadot is one of Burgundy’s most consistent and celebrated négociants, with a range that is universally adored from its classic Bourgogne to the finest Grand Cru. Established when Louis-Henri Jadot bought the Beaune Premier Cru monopole Clos des Ursules in 1826, the company passed to the Gagey family, who eventually sold it their long-term importer to the US, Kobrand. The company now boasts over 130 hectares of vineyards stretching from Chablis to Beaujolais, but it’s the quality of the wines that have made them a household name.

Jadot Gevrey Chambertin wines are produced from vineyards lying on the extension of the slope on which the Grands and Premiers Crus are situated. These vineyards vary considerable in quality, and the name of the producer is thus more important here than elsewhere. Maison Louis Jadot vinifies the production of growers with whom it holds purchase agreements based on the quality of the harvest each year. Wine serving temperature 16-17. Aging potential 10 years and more, even 15/20 years

Jadot Gevrey-Chambertin shows the quality characteristics of the commune: deep color, a multi-faceted berry and red fruit bouquet, and a full, tannic (yet mellow) structure carry into a lasting finish.

This powerful and perfumed wine requires elaborate and strong-tasting food such as lamb, boeuf bourguignon, game petés and strong cheeses.
