Château Haut Brion with a long history, it was founded by Jean Pontac in 1593. In the seventeenth century, Arnaud III de Pontac, the fourth-generation owner of the Pontac family, used many modern brewing methods to make the wine taste better and better. The wine stunned the whole UK and became the first top Bordeaux winery to become famous.

Chateau Haut-Brion with 46-hectare vineyard, which has some of the deepest gravel soils of the Pessac-Leognan estate. The warmer temperatures here allow the grapes to reach full maturity quickly, so wineries are often the first to start harvesting in the entire Bordeaux region.

Chateau Haut-Brion has a higher proportion of Merlot and tastes round and delicious. Compared with other Medoc First Growths, Chateau Haut-Brion may not have the elegance of other First Growths, but it is relatively smoky and mature. The fruity, rich and sweet personality still fascinates many aficionados. The first impression of its wines is that of subtle aromas, but with each subsequent shake of the glass, there is always a new aroma that is discovered. Complex and rich aroma. The special terroir of the manor imprints its own special aroma on the wine. At the beginning of the tasting, it is found that the aroma is also subtle, but with fine, soft tannins. In the mouth, you can feel the strong wine power of this wine, and the final finish is amazingly long-lasting.

===============

Chateau Haut-Brion 2019 with black cassis comes out of the glass, together with iodine, sandalwood and subtle moss and wet-bark undertones, then turning to violets. The palate is mind-blowing, with a cashmere texture that unravels on the palate and continues on for minutes. It’s full of superbly complex, ethereal character and mouth-feel, One of the wines of the vintage. As glorious as it may be to taste now, this is one for your deep cellar.  (James Suckling)
