The wine in the barrel must be topped up every week and the barrels must be changed frequently. , the natural evaporation rate is as high as 20%. Strict inspections are carried out before bottling after the cultivation period. Based on the concept of strict management that continues for four centuries, in years when sweet white wine cannot be produced, no sweet white wine will be produced to ensure the quality and reputation of Chateau d'Yquem.
