Chateau d'Armailhac is located in the well-known Pauillac production area on the left bank of Bordeaux. It was appraised as a fifth-level manor in 1855. Chateau d'Armailhac Just like these first-class manors, they insist on the highest quality winemaking process. Dominique Armailhac bought the place in 1680 from wine prince Nicolas-Alexandre de Ségur and named it Chateau Mouton-d’Armailhacq. In 1831, the manor introduced a new cleaning and disinfection technology, which doubled its output and sales, and was affirmed by the five-level manor in 1855. Later, due to debt and the impact of the economic depression, the winery was sold to the Rothschild family who were good at running the winery in 1933, the castle was rebuilt and the vineyard was rebuilt, the manor was revived, and the name was changed to Chateau d’Armailhac.
Although it manage by Rothschild family, Chateau d’Armailhac maintains a low-key attitude and only concentrates on making good wine. Chateau d'Armailhac 2020 with deep red colour with subtle purple reflections. Full and expressive, the nose combines fragrances of black fruits with finely roasted nuances. During the tasting, the beautifully rich aromatic palette reveals notes of sour cherries and confectionery.
The palate is rich and structured, the attack harmoniously expresses the perfect ripeness of the fruit. The palate seduces with its density, its aromas of blackcurrant and liquoice, as well as with its tannins of great finesse. Harmonious and persistent, the finish is marked by constant freshness.
