Chateau du Tertre is located in the Margaux region of Bordeaux, France, and was rated as a fifth-class growth in 1855. In 1997, the third-class growth Chateau Giscours acquired Chateau du Tertre and carried out large-scale investment and reconstruction, including the transformation of the vineyards and the upgrading of winemaking equipment, as well as strict management of the vineyards: including meticulous daily maintenance and pruning, insistence on manual harvesting, etc.

He also hired the winemaker of Chateau Angelus as a winemaking consultant to reform the winemaking process. The harvested fruits are fermented in traditional wooden barrels. These oak barrels are huge, as high as one floor, and have a good temperature control system. The wine is soaked in the barrels for more than three weeks to make the wine fuller. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for 15 to 17 months (45% new) and finally clarified with egg white.

Through unremitting efforts to improve quality, Chateau du Tertre has made great progress in quality in recent years and has been recognized by the world.

Chateau du Tertre has a balanced and gentle texture, harmonious and smooth taste, compact tannins and tight structure. It has a typical Margaux style and exudes the typical aroma of red berries such as cherries, and occasionally has the taste of blackberries and oak. It has great aging ability and investment value.
