Louis Jadot is one of Burgundy’s most consistent and celebrated négociants, with a range that is universally adored from its classic Bourgogne to the finest Grand Cru. Established when Louis-Henri Jadot bought the Beaune Premier Cru monopole Clos des Ursules in 1826, the company passed to the Gagey family, who eventually sold it their long-term importer to the US, Kobrand. The company now boasts over 130 hectares of vineyards stretching from Chablis to Beaujolais, but it’s the quality of the wines that have made them a household name.
==========================================
Deeper than the Meursault and more refined than the Chassagne, this is Louis Jadot’s pale golden yellow Puligny-Montrachet AOC. The elegant grape variety aromas of exotic fruits, white flowers, almond and fern delight every nose. The taste can be described as powerful and deep as well as extremely refined and delicate with a rather moderate acidity. He drinks well with fried fish and shrimp, poultry pies and medium-strength cheeses such as brie or camembert.
