Saint-Julien in the heart of the Médoc, the Clos du Marquis is located near the famous grand cru Léoville Las Cases and belongs to the same owner. It was the planting of young vines on the estate that led to the decision to create a second wine, this Petite Marquise, while waiting for the vines to be old enough to eventually enter the composition of the main cru.

Subtle and refined, the Petite Marquise comes from a blend containing a majority of Cabernet Sauvignon, combined with Merlot and a touch of Cabernet Franc. Harmonious, this wine shows a fine and elegant tannic structure. It is wise to drink this gourmet wine rather young.
