Maison Louis Latour is the owner of Burgundy's largest premium vineyard and the oldest surviving family-run grower and wine merchant. The red and white wines produced here are of excellent quality and are world-renowned. Maison Louis Latour has been owned by the Louis Latour family since 1797. In 1999, the winery was handed over to its seventh-generation heir, Mr. Louis-Fabrice Latour. He insisted on integrating modern concepts and technology into the family tradition. Louis Latour Chablis is produced in a traditional way in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine also undergoes malolactic fermentation to make it creamier and less acidic. Lastly the wine remains in steel tanks for about 8 or 10 months.
